Strategic Marketing in the A/E/C Industry: A Panel Discussion

September 22, 2020
5:30 PM EDT - 7:30 PM EDT

Event Description

For firms looking to establish resiliency and compete over the long term, they need to recognize marketing as a strategic function that informs and drives business strategy. When we look at the experiences of many A/E/C marketers, however, there are still firms that treat marketing as a proposal hub or perceive it as a cost rather than an investment. Reflecting the SMPS tagline, Business Transformed through Marketing Leadership, this event aims to equip firm owners/leaders and marketing professionals with compelling reasons and evidence for establishing marketing as an essential partner to business sustainability and success.

This online panel discussion features leaders in the A/E/C industry who will share insight into how marketing serves their firm’s strategic objectives and illustrate the marketing/business strategy partnership dynamic. We aim to explore how marketing integrates with other business and delivery functions, the makeup of different marketing departments, and lessons learned as firms moved from a reactive to strategic marketing approach. We will also explore the key skills being sought in marketing leaders to satisfy current and future A/E/C business needs.

The event will include short, focused presentations from panelists, a facilitated discussion and a question and answer period.
