Every A/E/C practice firm has responded to external changes that no one could have foreseen.

As marketing professionals, we are advisors, initiators and supporters of business strategy. It is our responsibility to manage these changes to continue serving our companies’ objectives and to ensure that marketing and business development efforts remain relevant to clients. This webinar will provide an overview of how to manage change and transition. It aims to help marketing professionals provide appropriate leadership within their respective teams and organizations to contribute both to people and culture and business processes  with the aim of ensuring our organizations transition from this period strong and prepared.

The webinar will be followed by optional breakout rooms for participants to share experiences of challenges, opportunities and solutions with each other and to promote networking, a key value of SMPS Ontario.

Russell Pollard, MBA (he/him), is the Principal of Framework Leadership.  Russell develops bespoke leadership training programmes for professional services firms in the A/E/C industries. He gains an understanding of the organizational culture and shapes workshops and coaching sessions to help individuals and teams be successful at supporting the business’ objectives. Russell also provides marketing advisory to professional services firms and independent consultants. He serves as President-Elect for SMPS Ontario, lectures “Leadership for Architects” with the RAIC, and chairs the Associates’ Leadership Series for the Museum of Architecture. Russell has a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Leadership, Masters of Business Administration, and has a Certificate in Leadership and Inclusion.

  • 45 minutes Presentation by presenter (lecture) with Q+A
  • 25 minutes Optional breakout sessions for participants
