As good as this sounds, we recognize that you may still have some reservations:

I've never been on a Board before ...

This is the perfect opportunity to learn! There is no previous experience required – many of us were first-time Board participants – and existing Board members will help you. New ideas are also welcome and bring new life to our association!

I'm so busy ...

Who understands better than fellow SMPS members how busy you are? Volunteering on the Board only takes a few hours per month – a two hour board meeting, a couple of hours at an event (if we're holding one that month), and a few hours here and there to fulfill your duties. We help each other out if one of us is truly swamped – you are not alone.

We look forward to hearing from you and announcing our new nominees for open positions starting May 1!
