    What does it take to get work in today’s current procurement environment?

    What succeeds, and what should you shelve, when it comes to marketing and business development strategies and tactics for winning work?

    This is an opportunity to get answers to those nagging questions as our panel discuss first-hand what resonates, differentiates, and connects for them when it comes to procurement best practices in the AEC sector.

    Through a lively discussion peppered with stories of the presentations that won them over, cold calls that actually turned into lunches and business, or proposal packages that really stood out and why.

    The panel will provide much-needed perspective to give any business development and marketing professional a leg up in their pursuit endeavors.

    Scott Valens, Director of Capital Development, Staff Architect, Humber College NEW PANELIST
    Having worked with various architectural firms over a 20 year period, Scott joined Humber 12 years ago and is responsible for the master planning, new builds and renovations at all Humber campuses. Scott volunteers with various initiatives including the Mentoring Partnership and is past president of the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario.



    Greg Colucci, Principal, Diamond Schmitt Architects              
    Greg Colucci has 30 years of experience at Diamond Schmitt Architects, where he has coordinated the design and implementation of numerous large projects, particularly in health care, recreation and resort residential developments overseas. Greg led the Diamond Schmitt team for the award-winning Bridgepoint Active Healthcare; the newly opened Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness in Brampton; as well as the expansion of the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital in Alberta.

    Bill Michoulas VP, Global Business Development, Ellis Don
    Bill is an accomplished Civil Engineer and proven leader in business development and strategic planning with expertise in partnering, design management, proposal preparation, estimating and contract negotiations. As EllisDon's Vice President of Global Business Development, Bill is responsible for managing corporate-wide business development initiatives in all of EllisDon’s core and emerging market sectors, as well as all of EllisDon’s ‘Cradle to Grave’ services. In this role, he also oversees EllisDon’s corporate Marketing/Communications and Proposal Management departments.



    Brandon Donnelly, VP of Development, Slate Asset Management
    Brandon Graham Donnelly is the VP of Development at Slate Asset Management. Prior to becoming VP of Development at Slate, he held development positions at CAPREIT, TAS, and Morguard, where he managed urban-focused residential (condo & rental), office and retail projects. In 2013, he also cofounded the condo review site Dirt / (acquired in 2018). Brandon advises The Laneway Project and NXT City



    Rowley Mossop, B.ES.(Architecture), AOCA, MBA
    Rowley leads Innovia by providing clients in Canada and the United Kingdom with the insight and strategy they need to make transformation happen. His background in the disciplines of business, media, design, and architecture informs Innovia’s unique approach to the challenges and potential of creative businesses.
